der Instandsetzung von historischem Mauerwerk.<\/p><p>Bestands- und Schadenerfassungen werden mit spezifisch an die jeweilige Projektsituation angepassten Materialuntersuchungen begleitet. Fragestellungen zur Materialzusammensetzung historischer M\u00f6rtel, zum qualitativen und quantitativen Salzgehalt werden beantwortet und mechanische und hygrische Materialkennwerten ermittelt. Vielf\u00e4ltige Erfahrungen liegen in der Entwicklung und Optimierung von Verfug- und Hinterf\u00fcllm\u00f6rtel sowie auch von Steinerg\u00e4nzungsstoffe vor. Dabei werden insbesondere die optischen, hygrischen und mechanischen Eigenschaften an die historischen Baumaterialien angepasst. Ein Schwerpunkt des Arbeitsgebiets stellt die Erforschung des Materialverhaltens in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit dynamischer Verwitterungsprozesse dar. Das ibac ist dar\u00fcber hinaus an vielf\u00e4ltigen Monitoringprogramme zur Dauerhaftigkeitsuntersuchungen baubegleitend t\u00e4tig, meist mit zerst\u00f6rungsfreier Pr\u00fcfung.<\/p><p>Ein weiterer gro\u00dfer Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die zerst\u00f6rungsfreie Ermittlung von Feuchtetiefenprofilen mittels Kernmagnetresonanzverfahrens (einseitige NMR). Mit diesem Verfahren ist es m\u00f6glich den Feuchtegehalt einer Gesteinsschichtung in bis zu 10 \u00b5m Schritten zu bestimmen. Aktuell wird mittels NMR das Eindringverhalten von Alt-Hydrophobierungen untersucht.<\/p><p>Die Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren Instituten der RWTH, beispielsweise dem geologischen Institut, Verst\u00e4rkung von denkmalgesch\u00fctzten Beton- und Stahlbetonbauwerken, bei denen das Erscheinungsbild nicht ver\u00e4ndert werden darf, die Ma\u00dfnahme aber nachhaltig sein soll, ist der Einsatz von textilbewehrten Schutzschichten interessant.
