General information
At the Institute for Building Research, students are taught building material knowledge in the following areas and with the following focal points:
- Properties, application areas and durability of building materials (concrete, masonry, metals, wood, plastics, glass),
- Preservation and rehabilitation of solid structures (planning of protection and rehabilitation works, principles and methods, structure diagnosis, crack treatment, substrate treatment, concrete replacement, surface protection, reinforcement).
Students can gain initial experience in scientific work, including in the laboratory, by submitting certificates of achievement as part of their studies (e.g. term paper) or as a student assistant.
Students still have the opportunity to acquire the theoretical part of the E-certificate (extended concrete technology training).
